I'm Tanishka,The crafter of House of Tan. Fashion has been my first love for as long as I can remember.For most of my life, it didn't always love me back.
I've been a size 12 for years, and I know the sting of falling for a piece of clothing only to find it wasn't made for me. Studying fashion design at NIFT gave me the skills to create, but my own experiences gave me the reason to create differently.
The more I looked around, the more I realised it wasn't just plus or mid-size women being left out — even women below size 8 were struggling to find clothes that truly fit and flattered them.
House of Tan was born from that realisation. I wanted to build more than a clothing label — I wanted to create a home. A space where every woman feels seen, celebrated, and free to be her truest self.
